1. 'Mental Hospital' - P11
Speaks very honestly about how they are feeling at this times in their lives & gives a straightforward view of their world & its surroundings. I'll do a few more in just a moment.
2. No Time To Say Goodbye
Slightly bias because it was the last poem my aunty wrote before she died; 'No Time To Say Goodbye' which always brings me to tears. But it also comforts me. That was her way of expressing herself on her deathbed & bringing comfort to us when she passed on.
3. Purpose - p27
Very evocative. I relate & find it beautiful.
4. Unconditional Love from 1943
This is a beautiful, moving poem that captures the essence of a grandchild's grief through an old photo. It is written perfectly and captures exactly what the author is feeling.
5. He Rebel
Although it is a strange title, I do like this poem. It starts off rebellious then turns into a waning for love. I guess love with a fellow rebel seems hard to come by.
6. The Legend of Port Quin
I really like this poem, being a fan of history and lover of ancestry, it speaks volumes. It transports you back to past times.
7. Aglaisurticae or Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly
Perfect definition of a butterfly.
