Nazia Noman (#126)

Writer | Poet

Bio:

Born and raised in London, UK, I am a proud British Bangladeshi woman whose life has been shaped by deep-rooted values, a strong sense of community, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

As a dedicated public servant, I have worked in local government for over 20 years, using my experience, knowledge, and compassion to contribute positively to the communities I serve.

A graduate of the Class of 2003, my academic and professional journey reflects my determination to make a meaningful difference. Guided by my Muslim faith, I have also spent more than a decade actively involved in charitable and humanitarian work, both across the UK and internationally.

My charitable efforts have taken me to communities in need around the world, with a particular focus on humanitarian aid, empowerment, and creating sustainable support for vulnerable people. Giving back has become an important part of who I am and continues to shape the way I approach both my personal and professional life.

Although I do not consider myself a poet, writing has always been a way for me to express my thoughts and experiences. I often find myself penning heartfelt quotes inspired by my own journey and by the world around me. Through my words, I hope to convey empathy, strength, faith and reflection, drawing on the lessons that life has taught me.

I believe in leading with humility, compassion and purpose. I am not driven by recognition, but by a simple belief that even the smallest act of kindness can have a lasting impact. My journey continues to be one of service, faith and resilience, with the hope that wherever possible, I can leave a positive difference in the lives of others.
